Nigel has been providing dispute resolution advice as a solicitor for over 30 years, and with it a specialist licensing law service.

Nigel has been ranked as a Leading Individual in the Chambers 2010 directory.

Having trained in dispute resolution in the commercial centre of Liverpool, Nigel has since 1978 been working at partner level for regional law firms in the south of England, most recently in Swindon.

Nigel has acted for PLC’s, SME’s, partnerships and individuals over a wide range of contentious issues, including general contract disputes , sale of goods, misrepresentation, partnership issues, professional negligence, insolvency and property related disputes such as lease renewal, dilapidations, nuisance and trespass.

Having trained as a mediator with the ADR Group in 1997, Nigel concentrates on practical advice and problem solving but is experienced in court action should that become necessary.

Nigel is a member of the British Institute of Innkeepers and building on his wide ranging experience in this sector published The Licensing Handbook, a plain English guide to licensing law. He also lectures on licensing and is a frequent guest on local TV and radio on licensing issues.

When he is not helping clients solve their problems, Nigel is the honorary secretary of NSPCC in Swindon and North Wiltshire as well as being a keen walker, photographer and traveller.
