Profile
After leaving university in 2000 Paul joined a Warwickshire firm where he qualified as a solicitor specialising predominantly in commercial property.
Paul then played an integral role in establishing the commercial property department at a commercial law firm with offices in Milton Keynes and Northampton.
Paul is very approachable and prides himself on giving straightforward and practical legal advice to enable his clients to meet their objectives. From previous experience he is well aware that the ability of the lawyer to negotiate the best deal and appreciate the commercial context of the transaction is equally important to dealing with the legal intricacies. The aim is to always exceed expectations.
Although Paul’s office is based in Northampton he acts for clients across the country. Paul also enjoys a strong presence in Milton Keynes having worked in that area for a number of years before joining Cousins Business Law for a new challenge at the end of 2009.
Paul acts for a wide range of property owners and occupiers in connection with:
- Advising on all aspects of acquiring and disposing of property
- Acting for both landlord and tenant clients with lease negotiations and renewals
- Working closely with property developers
- Dealing with the management of property
- Sale and purchase of all types of businesses but with a particular expertise in pubs, hotels and restaurants
At home Paul is married and is kept fully occupied by his two young daughters.
Outside interests include playing and watching football, cricket and golf. He is also a long suffering Derby County season ticket holder.
